Merida Ebig Tour 7 300 Electric Bike
The eBig.Tour 7.300 from Merida is a high performance 27.5″ hard tail, powered by the Shimano E6000.
Designed for simple trails or multi terrain, the eBig.Tour is both light and agile. The result is great handling and power to match. Powered by Shimano's high torque E6000 motor and 400Wh battery, the eBig.Tour glides effortlessly over a multitude of tracks, be it forest trails, railway cuttings or canal tow-paths. The E6000 is one of the lightest motors on the market, weighing in at only 3.2kg and comes with a handy Walk Assist Mode for when the going gets really tough. Maxxis Ikon tyres provide superb grip and resilience on any trail. Their internal Kevlar bead provides puncture protection without affecting performance. Suntour Raidon-XC-LOR forks with 100mm travel are more than adequate, and absorb every bump and hollow.
With three levels of power assist, the eBig.Tour is easily at the control of your fingertips via a simple handlebar unit. The compact designed cycle computer mounted centrally on the bars provides all rider information. It has an easy-to-read high-contrast display and shows gear, range and battery level indication as well as several other features.
The beauty of the eBig.Tour is that all componentry is pretty much Shimano. The HG200 9 speed 11-34 cassette provides just the right amount of gearing for this trail bike. A great hill climber, yet powerful on the downhills too. Shimano M315 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors provide really effective stopping power when needed. They're sharp and responsive. Just the job. Gear changes are true and spot on thanks to Shimano rapid fire shifters. The 9-speed Alivio Shadow mech shifts sweetly and effortlessly through all gears, whatever the terrain. The 700mm oversize bars on the eBig.Tour ensure decisive steering and control at all times.
Aesthetically pleasing, with rugged good looks, the frame is made of lightweight aluminium alloy, with smooth curves and hidden cabling. It's satin red and black finish is highly resistant to wear and tear. The eBig.Tour 7.300 powered by Shimano is a great performer, and rather unique.
